5th Tripartite Retreat
The fifth Tripartite Retreat was hosted on 17 January 2020 by National Trades Union Congress at Orchid Country Club. This is an annual event for the tripartite partners to share their workplans and align priorities.
One of the workshop discussions was on the NTUC’s proposal for a Job Security Council (JSC), and how tripartite partners can work together for it to work.
The NTUC JSC, an ecosystem with a network of receiving and releasing companies that is built on trust, was subsequently launched in February 2020. NTUC JSC provides transition support to at-risk or displaced workers with career coaching, skills evaluation, access to training, job-search assistance and job-matching services to improve their employment prospects and match them into new jobs.
